影の時代 (Kage no Jidai) - Age of Shadows is a deeply personal instrumental album, born from a long-held fascination with Japan's tumultuous 16th and 17th centuries (a period of profound historical weight, relentless warfare, political fragmentation and intense emotional undercurrents). More than just a recounting of historical events, this music is an exploration of the raw, powerful emotions that pulse beneath the surface of the Sengoku era – a time I've always felt with an almost visceral intensity.
This album seeks to sonically capture the essence of the "Age of Shadows" through ten distinct tracks, each illuminating a specific facet of this complex historical tapestry and its inherent emotional landscape:
This is a journey through:
Track 1: 1542年 - 瀬沢の戦い - Battle of Sezawa - (Dawn of the Shadows):
After a long quiet and expectation build-up, the fury of the battle erupts, with taiko drums and distorted guitars depicting the clash of samurai armies at Sezawa, a stark descent into wartime intensity.

Track 2: 1543年 - 種子島上陸 - Tanegashima Landing - (Seeds of Change):
The mystery and subtle unease of cultural collision are explored, as Japanese flutes, latin guitars and electronic textures blend to evoke the arrival of the Portuguese and the dawn of change.
